'Sommerens Maria' is a colorful church musical adventure play by Eyvind Skeie and Gisle Kverndokk. The dynamic music environment Kirkens Korskole Nøtterøy has commissioned and premiered the work - and now it is ready for release on CD. 150 children are involved, and they sing enthusiastically!

'Summer's Mary' is about our own sense of life on the road through the year of nature and the church year. We are taken on a journey from autumn to winter and spring to summer, where the three main characters connect the biblical narrative with our human longing. The composer says: "The challenge is to convey the ideas in a simple way, to find something singable and catchy, while not being predictable. There must be some surprises in there, but it must be something the children can master and learn to love."
